Route:

Turkey Trot 4.2 Mile Loop  One of my favorite routes.  I like running this course a couple of days after my long runs. The first two miles are the toughest, with a hill at the hospital and a long climb on Park Ridge. You get a very nice downhill finish coming in from Montgomery.

Start at traffic light at YMCA.  North on First St. Right on Salisbury St. Left on Second St. Right on Park Ridge. At the intersection of Park Ridge and Ridge, continue through the caution light, to Heritage. Heritage loops to become Colonial. Left on Ridge. Right on Montgomery. Right on Second St. Left on Franklin. Finish at Traffic Light at YMCA.

April Events

April 1st - 6:45pm Vac & Dash April Fools Day 5K Classic.  This race will be full of suprises.  Yes there will be an actual race.  Start and finish will be at the YMCA.  I know that I always send out a prank newsletter on April Fools Day, so the challenge for me is to get folks to believe that there will actually be a race.  There will be.

I will warn you, that if you don't have a sense of humor, you may not want to run this race.  Cost will be $20.00.  You'll want to run it for the t-shirt.   If you think a store that sells vacuums and running shoes is weird, the sponsors on the back will be those wacky area combo stores such as:

Tillery Vineyard & Taxi Service "You Drink - We Drive"

OK, the sponsors aren't real, but they will look cool on the back of the shirt.
